On Monday, 3rd August 2026, The Paul Sartori Foundation was informed of a cyber security incident affecting Beacon, the third-party Customer Relationship Management system we use to manage information relating to our supporters.
Beacon has confirmed that unauthorised access was gained to its systems and is currently investigating the incident with external cyber security specialists. At this time, we are not aware that any individual’s personal information held by the Paul Sartori Foundation has been directly compromised or misused.
We’re sorry that this has happened as our supporters’ safety is extremely important to us. We are taking the matter extremely seriously and will provide further information if Beacon’s investigation identifies anything that affects our supporters. We have also taken immediate steps with regards to our legal obligations under data protection law, including notifying the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and are reviewing data that may have been affected while monitoring developments as Beacon’s investigation continues.
In the meantime, we recommend remaining vigilant for unexpected emails, telephone calls or text messages and never providing passwords, verification codes or financial information in response to unsolicited requests.
We are awaiting the findings of Beacon’s investigation and, until we receive further information, we are unable to comment further.
