A father and daughter from New Hedges recently took on a mighty challenge to raise vital funds for Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Charity. Deryn and Tia Brace completed the Tenfoot swim, which is a 5km swim from Tenby to Saundersfoot via the Pembrokeshire Coastline.

They both decided to complete this special challenge in memory of Tia’s Nan who sadly passed away in November 2018, and raise some vital funds at the same time. They raised a fantastic amount of £806.00. Deryn said ”Paul Sartori Hospice at Home helped so much at the time, we would have really struggled without them. The Tenfoot swim seemed like a real challenge for both myself and Tia and something for us to do together. We were so grateful to the Tenfoot Swim committee for letting us use the challenge to raise funds for Paul Sartori. We were also overwhelmed at the support that we received and want to take this opportunity to thank our family, friends and colleagues for helping us raise £806.00”

“It is through the generosity of the Pembrokeshire people that we can continue to provide this much needed service for anyone in the later stages of any life limiting illness. The services are available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.” Said Pat Coombs, Clinical Co-ordinator at Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.
