Complementary Therapy to Support your Well-being

Complementary therapy offers
Gentle, practical support to help you feel more comfortable, more relaxed, and better able to cope with the
challenges of living with a life-limiting condition or caring for someone who is.
At Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, our complementary therapy services, including massage and Reiki, work alongside conventional medical care to support both patients and carers, improving wellbeing and quality of life.
A Range of Therapies including Massage
Our service includes a range of therapies, each tailored to your individual needs. These include massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, Reiki, Indian head massage, and guided relaxation techniques. Rather than focusing on one single approach, we look at the whole person, creating a personalised plan that supports your physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing.

How Complementary Therapy can help
Complementary therapy can help manage a wide range of symptoms. Many people find it eases pain and muscle tension, reduces stress and anxiety, and improves sleep. It can also support breathlessness, fatigue, and mobility, while providing a calming space to rest and reset. For carers, these therapies offer an important opportunity to pause, recharge, and prioritise your own well-being.
Self-Help and Aromatherapy Support
Alongside hands-on treatments, we provide a self-help toolkit to support you between sessions. This includes simple techniques such as breathing exercises and relaxation strategies, as well as tailor-made aromatherapy products created by our qualified therapists. These may include inhalers, pulse point blends, and pre-blended creams, designed to enhance mood, support sleep, and help you cope with difficult moments, including grief and loss.

Accessing the Service
Accessing the service is simple. You can self-refer by contacting our Complementary Therapy Health and Well-Being Advice Line on 0791 7074300 or ask a healthcare professional or someone involved in your care to refer you. Your journey begins with an initial telephone consultation, where a member of our experienced team will listen to your needs and help you explore the free therapies available.
Flexible Support to Suit You
Sessions can be delivered in the comfort of your own home, at the Paul Sartori Therapy Suite in Haverfordwest when possible, or remotely via telephone or video call. This flexible approach ensures you can access support in a way that feels right for you.
