The Paul Sartori Foundation would like to sincerely thank the Redding family for their incredible generosity in donating £2,000 to support the charity’s vital Hospice at Home service.
Their donation has enabled the charity to purchase a brand-new specialist bed, which will help local patients receive the very best care in the comfort of their own homes.
The family chose to support Paul Sartori Foundation in memory of the late Sydney Redding, husband to Rosamund and father to Jonathan, Claire, and James. He received wonderful care from the Charity in the final days of his life.
The Redding family wanted to give back to the Foundation as a way of showing their gratitude and to highlight how accessible it can be for others to support the charity in such meaningful ways. Speaking on behalf of the family, Claire Redding said:
“We were surprised how affordable it was to pay back Paul Sartori for what they have done for us as a family.”
The Paul Sartori Foundation is Pembrokeshire’s only Hospice at Home service, providing a wide range of free care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as to their families. Services include home nursing care, complementary therapies, future care planning, bereavement support and counselling, training and education, as well as the very practical Equipment Loan Service.
The Equipment Loan Service is of particular value to patients at the end of their lives who may experience reduced mobility. Items such as hospital beds, specialist mattresses, wheelchairs, and hoists can make a huge difference — not only by easing discomfort and pain, but also by helping people remain at home, surrounded by their loved ones, for as long as possible. The new specialist bed funded by the Redding family will be an invaluable addition to this service, ensuring more patients can be cared for with dignity and comfort.
Paul Sartori Foundation would like to thank the family for their generous gift, which will have a lasting impact on those receiving end-of-life care at home across Pembrokeshire.
