June Harries of Clarbeston Road decided to do something different and challenging to raise funds for The Paul Sartori Hospice at Home charity. On 21st October; June and her Grandson; Harry, abseiled down Pembroke Castle. The 13th Century towers of the Castle are 75ft tall with walls up to 6 metres thick at the base.

They raised a fantastic £1400.00 between them by doing this challenging abseil. June said “I wanted to do something different, I was being ambitious and it was for a wonderful cause.”

“It is through the generosity of the Pembrokeshire people that we can continue to provide this much needed service for anyone in the later stages of any life limiting illness. The services are available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.” Said Laura Hugman, Clinical Team Manager at Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.
