Tuesday 5th October marked the end of a fantastic series of charitable donations from the Gwaun Lodge of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB, “The Buffs”) and their final contribution was once again a double donation.

The brothers of the Gwaun Lodge presented two donations of £250.00 a piece to representatives of Paul Sartori and the Newchapel Playing Field at the Phoenix Community Centre in Goodwick. A member of the Gwaun Lodge said that they were so pleased to have been able to run this series of donations, and that they hope that it has gone some way to helping the local community in their various endeavours.

Once again, the Gwaun Lodge were keen to reiterate that they are very eager to recruit new members who can help them in their fundraising. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to give back to the community, and/or would simply like to be part of a sociable, friendly and benevolent organisation.

The Gwaun Lodge meets at the Phoenix Community Centre in Goodwick every Tuesday at 7:30pm. Membership is open to men over the age of 18, and they are keen to welcome new members all year round. Simply contact the lodge at gwaun9915@hotmail.com, or turn up on a lodge night for more information. The donations will contribute towards the wide range of services available by Paul Sartori to people living in the final stages of a life limiting illness in Pembrokeshire.  These services enable individuals to be cared for and to die at home if that is their choice.
