On September 29th Haverfordwest Fire Station held their Annual Open day. They had various demonstrations including rope rescues, aerial firefighting, road traffic collisions and many more. They were also joined by the RNLI and the Dyfed Powys Police force.
The event was a great success with many local Businesses generously donating prizes for the raffle, Children’s activities, refreshments and HM Coastguard and Dyfed Powys Police displays. All proceeds from the Fire Station open day went to The Firefighters Charity and Paul Sartori Hospice at Home. They raised a fantastic £400.00 for Paul Sartori.
“It is through the generosity of local Businesses and residents that we can continue to provide this much needed service for anyone in the later stages of any life limiting illness. The services are available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.” Said Laura Hugman, Clinical Team Manager at Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.
