Cyclists of all levels are invited to participate in the annual Kilgetty Bike It 100, a non-competitive cycling sportive, which will take place on Sunday 28th July 2024. Organised for the past three years by the dedicated Norman Mason and his team of volunteers, this spectacular event continues to support local charities, having raised over £12,000 to date.

This year, 200 cyclists will take on one of three picturesque routes through the stunning landscapes of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire & Ceredigion. Riders can choose between 100 miles, 75 miles, or 50 miles, ensuring that there is a challenge suitable for everyone. The event not only promises breathtaking views and a rewarding ride but also the opportunity to support two wonderful causes: The Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service and Haverfordwest High School’s South Africa Rugby Tour 2025.

“The Kilgetty Bike It 100 is a fantastic way for the community to come together, enjoy our beautiful countryside, and raise funds for important local causes,” said Norman, the event’s longstanding organiser. “We are thrilled to support The Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service, which provides vital end-of-life care to our family, friends, and neighbours living in the later stages of life in their own home surrounded by those they hold dear, and to contribute to the exciting journey of Haverfordwest High School’s rugby team.”

Entries for the Kilgetty Bike It 100 are still available at £45. Cyclists are encouraged to register soon to secure their spot in this popular event, which is now over 80% full, with entries received from all over Wales and as far as Manchester and High Wycombe.

Every finisher will be presented with a laser engraved Welsh Slate Medal to commemorate their achievement at the finish line at The Kingsmoor Sports & Social Club, Kilgetty (who have also admirably supported the event over the last few years). They will supply a welcome outside barbecue and refreshments to purchase at the finish.
