New Hedges & Saundersfoot United FC hosted a memorable fundraising evening at Regency Hall, Saundersfoot, bringing the community together for a night of football stories, laughter, and heartfelt generosity.
Held on 28 June 2025, the event featured special guest Bruce Grobbelaar, former Liverpool goalkeeper, whose engaging stories and reflections captivated everyone in the room. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening, with Bruce’s entertaining and insightful talk creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout.
The event was organised by Stuart McLaren and Simon Brace, whose hard work ensured its success. Thanks to the incredible support of those who attended, an impressive £2000 was raised on the night. This was shared between two important causes, with £1000 donated to the Paul Sartori Foundation and £1000 to Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital.
The fundraiser was held in memory of Gareth Allen, a valued member of the club and brother-in-law of organiser Simon Brace. Gareth received care from the Paul Sartori Foundation, making the cause especially meaningful to those involved.
The Paul Sartori Foundation provides a range of services to support people with life-limiting illness, enabling them to remain in the comfort of their own homes. This includes hands-on nursing care, respite support, equipment loans, complementary therapy, and bereavement support for families.
The Paul Sartori Foundation would like to extend sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to such a special evening. The generosity shown will help continue providing vital care and support to people across the community.
If you would like to support the Paul Sartori Foundation through your own fundraising event, please contact Community Relationship Officer Rosie-Faye Hart by emailing rosie-faye@paulsartori.org or calling 01437 763223.
