We recently met up with a long-time supporter of Paul Sartori Hospice at Home. Joanne Lutwyche from Angle has been organising and holding events all in aid of the Pembrokeshire Charity since 2014. Her events ranged from Garden shows and Angle New Year’s Day Swims to Bingo. Joanne has raised a staggering £10,643.58 over the last 5 years.

Joanne chose to support Paul Sartori after they supplied vital equipment for her mum to come home when she was unwell, this meant that Joanne’s mum was able to spend her final days at home with her family around her. The Bereavement support and Complementary therapies were other services which Joanne was unaware of prior to using Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped me at all of the events over the last five years” said Joanne. “It would not have been possible without all of the support” continued Joanne.

“It is through the generosity and determination of local people like Joanne that we can continue to provide this much needed service for anyone in the later stages of any life limiting illness. The services are available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.” Said Laura Hugman, Clinical Team Manager at Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.

The Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service provides a range of services to Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life limiting illness, including home nursing care, equipment loan, complementary therapy, bereavement and counselling support, clinical nurse specialist in palliative care, physiotherapy, advance care planning and training.

The services provided by the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service enable people in the later stages of any life limiting illness to be cared for and to die at home with dignity, independence, pain free and surrounded by those they hold most dear if that is their wish.

Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, thanks to the kind generosity of the Pembrokeshire Community.
