In the lead up to Christmas; Judy Williams of Penally decided to do something different to raise money for Paul Sartori Hospice at Home. It was like a real life advent calendar, where local residents dressed their windows with lots of lights, decorations and displayed a number. Each day throughout December a new illuminated display was revealed at 5pm.
38 residents took part in this event and many more showed an interest when they saw the wonderful displays. Judy, who volunteers in Tenby Sartori stores is hoping that this can be an annual event. They raised a fantastic £60.00 within the village.
Pat Coombs, Clinical Co-ordinator at Paul Sartori said “I think that this was a wonderful idea to bring a small community together. It is through the generosity of the Pembrokeshire people that we can continue to provide this much needed service for anyone in the later stages of any life limiting illness. The services are available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
