Local farmer from Crundale Haverfordwest, Mr Raymond Roach recently celebrated his 80th Birthday on 11th August 2018 at the Nantyffin Llandissilio.  Instead of presents, Raymond invited his friends and family to donate to Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, a local charity supporting people in the later stages of any life limiting illness, in lieu of presents.

Raymond and his wife Betty, who have had friends that have relied on the services provided by the charity, spread the word among the ‘ploughing circle’ (a tractor ploughing community), and along with their friends and family raised £650.00 for Paul Sartori.

Mr Raymond Roach commented, “We have friends that have had first-hand experience of using the services at Paul Sartori – we know the local charity and I was very pleased to hand this amount over knowing it would benefit local families in the future.”

Lisa Wells, Income Generation Team Administrator was delighted to accept the cheque on behalf of Paul Sartori saying, “We are very grateful to Raymond Roach for choosing Paul Sartori and wish him a belated 80th Birthday.  We do heavily rely on local support, voluntary donations and fundraising activities.”  Adding, “Paul Sartori receive a number of donations where people make the decision to pledge their birthday donations to Paul Sartori, if you would like to make a difference to a family living with a life limiting illness in this way, please contact Toni Dorkings Community Fundraiser at Paul Sartori.”
