The St Teilo’s Ladies Guild based in Tenby, have been holding events throughout 2019 to raise vital funds for local charity. They chose to support Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, a Pembrokeshire based charity which provides a range of services to people living in the final stages of a life-limiting illness.
The Ladies Guild chose to support Paul Sartori Hospice at Home as some of them had benefitted from the services, and some of the members knew Father Paul Sartori personally through the Catholic Church. They held numerous events at the Church Hall in Tenby, ranging from Coffee mornings to Cream teas. They raised a fantastic amount of £200.00 for the local Charity.
Laura Tomp, St Teilo’s Ladies Guild said “I would like to thank everyone who helped out and made these events possible, we all had an aim to raise as much as possible for a local, worthy charity. I was pleased to be able to present a cheque of £200.00 to Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.”
Sarah Hunter, Management RN at Paul Sartori said “We are so grateful to all local events such as the ones held by the Ladies Guild for supporting the charity. It is through the generosity of the local community that we are able to continue to provide end of life care to Pembrokeshire people.”
Paul Sartori Hospice at Home provides a range of services to Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life-limiting illness, including home nursing care, equipment loan, complementary therapy, bereavement and counselling support, under 18’s anticipatory grief and bereavement support, physiotherapy, advance care planning and training.
The services provided by the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home enable people in the later stages of any life-limiting illness to be cared for and to die at home with dignity, independence, pain free and surrounded by those they hold most dear, if that is their wish.
