🌊Angle New Years Day Dip 2026🌊
The much-anticipated Angle New Year’s Day Dip is back for 2026, and we’ve got our bathers at the ready for our annual refreshing start to the New Year!
With the customary leek and potato soup for all entrants, and a BBQ with Marcus’ famous bacon rolls,
both available from the Paul Sartori Tent at West Angle Bay Car Park, there’s also tea, coffee, and the best cake in the West available from Wavecrest Cafe.
Fancy dress is optional but certainly encouraged!
This charity dip is a smaller, family event, therefore is free of charge, but we encourage you to raise sponsorship to help raise funds for the Paul Sartori Foundation and keep vital hospice at home services free at the point of need for families across Pembrokeshire.
You can access our online JustGiving page for the Dip here:

Every person who enters the water will receive a medal to say they’ve completed their challenge!
In order to get an idea of numbers for the event and to cater for it, we kindly ask that you register on our website below and we will get back to you in due course with a
waiver form to complete and more information about Dip Day!
A few friendly pointers for a fun day for all:
- It’s going to be nippy, so please bring towels to dry yourselves thoroughly and pack warm clothes and thick socks to wear after your dip.
- Please remember that this is a dip so only go into the water as far as you’re comfortable and for as long as you’re comfortable. We want you to have fun, not hypothermia! If you do feel you’re having any difficulties, just raise your hand and one of our marshalls will get assistance.
- If you’d like more information on being safe in the water, please visit: RNLI Open Water Swimming Safety Advice And Tips
- Please wear relevant footwear when on the beach and in the water – consider wet boots or similar to keep your feet safe from sharp rocks.
- There is parking at West Angle Bay beach but it is limited. Please car share if you can, to help us make sure everyone can park. Parking will be at the football field (please look out for signs on your way into Angle Village) and a shuttle bus will be available from the car park to the beach.
We’re looking for Event Volunteers for this event and other events – you volunteer for just one or a few, whatever takes your fancy. If you’re interested in being an Event Volunteer, please email eleanor@paulsartori.org and we can send you a Temporary Event Volunteer Form. Many thanks!
